announced: Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in August 2022 as the replacement for the well-liked Galaxy Z Flip 3. Nearly all of its predecessor's traces are followed, making it difficult to distinguish between the two. But Samsung made some clever internal adjustments that give its most recent clamshell more power than before.
display: The device's outside features Samsung's 1.9-inch Super AMOLED "Cover" display. The tiny Super AMOLED "Cover Screen" by Samsung, which measures 1.9 inches and is located right next to the camera, is now constructed of Gorilla Glass Victus Plus. Its pixel density is the same as the previous model, but it is marginally more resilient. Additionally, the interior foldable display is comparable to its forerunner. It is still 6.7 inches in size and has Full HD+ resolution. It has a smooth 120Hz variable refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. With Armor Aluminum for the frame and Samsung's upgraded Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) protecting the screen, the remainder of the package is as well-designed.

battery: The Galaxy Z Flip 4's bigger battery, a serious flaw in the previous generation foldable, may be of utmost significance. It has increased from 3,300mAh to 3,700mAh, keeping up with the stock Galaxy S22. The wired charging increased from 15W to 25W, which is also a wonderful improvement. Reverse wireless charging at 4.5W is an alternative to wireless charging, which is still available at 10W.
foldable market share: When it comes to competition, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 occupies a unique position; it is already the king. Samsung dominates the foldable smartphone industry with an 88% market share, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was the best-selling model. The best rival remains the previous-generation foldable, especially with the current steep discounts. A new Motorola Razr hasn't been made available outside of China (yet, at least), and Huawei's P50 Pocket has all the issues you'd anticipate from a device without Google support. Instead, it performs better when compared to products in the same price range, approximately $1,000, like Samsung's own Galaxy S22 Plus and the perennially well-liked iPhone 13 Pro.
